Blues Solo

Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 24, 1978, the lead singer of Code Blue has always had a knack for music.  He began his career as a student of the saxophone at the age of 8, and was awarded his first music excellence award as a soloist at 13 years old.  He then progressed to the high school marching band and led the 63 piece unit to 2nd place as Drum Major in his senior year.  It was during this time that he learned how to play acoustic guitar, and taught himself piano and harmonica, as well as winning a cash award for music excellence throughout his high schooling.  In addition, he began writing and composing his own music and took a few voice training courses.

Rick has been in bands in the local area since 1995, and even sang in college choir as a bari-tenor.  When asked about Code Blue, he says, "Luck fell upon me when I found these guys.  We all click so well and have a blast.  I am completely dedicated to the band and thrive on the vibes of the audience, while I try to make each performance better than the last."
