The Band
Code Blue is (from left to right): Rick Pipito, Beau Catania, Ted Domzalski

Code Blue - (ko-d bloo-) definition:
1. (noun) A medical emergency in which a team of medical personnel work to revive an individual in cardiac arrest.

2. (noun) A band that will bring back good talent that was lost in music in modern society.

3. (verb) Mixing hard rock, funk and blues to create a unique musical sound that is guaranteed to kick you in the ass and satisfy the need to hear some great original music.

Before the band got its name, Beau Catania and Ted Domzalski jammed and wrote music for a few years going through many singers and bass players who couldn't make the cut at trying out.  Finally, a bass player with some potential joined named Craig Holdsworth.  The three of them played at local bars as an instrumental trio with an occasional singer joining them on stage.  They came up with the name "Code Blue" to define how music had died over the years and needed to be brought back to good, fresh, determined to make a difference talent.

Rick had been in and out of bands and stumbled across an ad that Ted placed in a local paper for a singer.  They spoke, met at Hooters for wings, beer and boobs, and the similar personalities scheduled a try-out.

February 7, 2001 - The band meets with Rick and they write three songs, "Am I Someone Else", "Lift Me High," and part of "Leech".  With the lyrics fitting the music, they played their first gig on February 19th, just three practices later.  From there, Rick was officially the lead singer/saxophonist of "Code Blue."

Soon, they got a little more recognition and became popular with local bar owners and the people that saw them.  The website was designed and a mailing list, as well as a Public Relations package and after a failed recording attempt with crackhead run "Poison Ivy Studios", finally got a demo cd recorded from someone who knew what they were doing.

As their heads were aiming for getting to the top it seemed like nothing would stop them.  Then, in early August 2003, Bass player Craig Holdsworth decided to part ways with the band.  It hit them hard, but Rick, Beau and Ted continued with the gigs they had planned as an acoustic trio.

The unplugged sound satiated their needs to play out and be seen, but wasn't enough for the energetic soul and feeling that they needed to convey.  After meeting with a few bass players, Ted ran into an old bass player friend of his who just happened to be looking for a band.  Skip Brandes joined their forces and became their second bass player.

Five months later, scheduling conflicts forced Code Blue to part ways with Skip and they replaced him with 26 year old New Jersey resident, Dave Harris.

January 2004 - Now, Rick Pipito, Beau Catania, Ted Domzalski and Dave Harris are "Code Blue," a band that will stop at nothing to achieve its goals of worldwide stardom.
